Lienne Medford
Dr. Lienne Medford received her BA in Comparative Literature from Hamilton College, her MA in English from UNC-Chapel Hill, and her EdD in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University. For the last 16 years, she taught at Clemson University, where she also served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School. She currently serves as a CAEP Board of Visitors member. She has been recognized by the National Association of Professors of Middle Level Education as Outstanding Professor for 2016-17.
Dr. Medford is the outgoing chair of the SC Education Deans Alliance, and the principal investigator for the Commission on Higher Education’s Center of Excellence grant at Converse. She also serves on the board of Langston Charter Middle School and represents Converse on the Academic Partners Committee and Board of Trustees at the University Center of Greenville. She has been awarded more than two million dollars in grants from the National Science Foundation.
Lienne lives in Duncan with her husband, Glenn. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, and gardening.
